Richard J. Lorenti

Richard Lorenti is a Managing Director in our New York office and has investment banking experience with a broad range of healthcare providers, healthcare and educational authorities, and specialty non-profit organizations. He provides corporate finance services including mergers and acquisitions advisory services, valuations and fairness opinions, as well as capital markets services (underwritings, placements and financial advisory) to hospitals, multi-hospital systems, long-term care companies, managed care companies and related entities. His recent client engagements have included New York University Medical Center, Danbury Hospital, Central Maine Health System and Horizon BlueCross BlueShield of New Jersey. He also participated in the development of Shattuck Hammond's electronic auction capabilities for municipal bonds, www.ShattuckHammondAuction.com, and serves e-commerce clients through the Firm's eHealth initiative. Mr. Lorenti had been a Managing Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers Securities LLC and was a Founding Partner of Shattuck Hammond Partners Inc.

Previously, Mr. Lorenti was a Vice President at Cain Brothers, Shattuck & Company and a Vice President in the healthcare finance group at Dean Witter Reynolds, where he specialized in municipal underwritings for non-profit hospitals. From 1979 to 1984 he was a Bond Rating Analyst with Standard & Poor's Corporation, where he helped to develop the rating criteria for pooled healthcare financings and FHA-insured mortgage financing.

Mr. Lorenti holds a B.S. in Architecture from The Catholic University of America and earned his Masters in City and Regional Planning from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
