Jay Miele is a First Vice President in the New York office of Shattuck Hammond Partners, assisting in the firm’s real estate investment banking activities including single asset and portfolio dispositions, sale/leasebacks, and raising both debt and equity capital.
Prior to joining Shattuck Hammond, Mr. Miele was a vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle in the New York Capital Markets Group. During his six years at Jones Lang LaSalle, he was involved in the disposition of more than $2.5 billion in commercial real estate transactions across multiple asset types along the eastern seaboard. He also worked with domestic and foreign owners and investors advising on single asset and portfolio valuations and developing transaction and investment alternatives to maximize yields. Mr. Miele began his real estate career at a Washington D.C. based boutique provider of real estate investment and management services specializing in the placement and management of endowment, trust and pension fund money.
Mr. Miele received his Masters of Business Administration from the Kogod School of Business, American University, with concentrations in real estate/urban development and finance. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
